  • Exam Mode : Computer Based Test/Examination 

  • Total Qs : Objective Type 100 Questions 

  • Qs Type : Multiple choice questions with 4 answers

  • Marking Pattern : Each correct question carries one mark.

  • Negative Marking : For each wrong answer ¼ (0.25) mark shall be deducted.

  • Qualifying marks in written test/CBT 

    • 40% for UR

    • 30% for SC/OBC-NCL/EWS 

    • 25% for ST

(a) General Knowledge : Questions may be designed to test knowledge of current events relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Science, General Policy & Scientific Research. (b) Mathematics :

Matric level questions on Number System, Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry and Statistical Charts. (c) Science :

Matric level questions on Physical and Chemical Substances – nature and Behaviour, World of Living, Natural Phenomenon, Effects of Current and Natural Resources. (d) Social Science :

Matric level questions on India and the Contemporary World Democratic Politics, Understanding Economic Development and Disaster Management.

In News : Strengthening of Agriculture Produce Market Infrastructure

कृषि उपज बाजार के बुनियादी ढांचे को मजबूत करना

  • Government of India has launched National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) Scheme on 14th April, 2016 with the objective of creating online transparent competitive bidding system to facilitate farmers with remunerative prices for their produce.
  • .Under the e-NAM Scheme, Government is providing free software and assistance of Rs. 75.00 Lakh per mandi for related hardware including quality assaying equipments and creation of infrastructure like cleaning, grading, sorting, packaging and compost unit etc. 
  • Interest Subvention: All loans under this financing facility have interest subvention of 3% per annum up to a limit of Rs. 2 crores. This subvention is available for a maximum period of 7 years. APMCs are eligible for multiple projects (of different infrastructure types) within their designated market area. In such cases, interest subvention for a loan up to Rs. 2 crores will be provided for each project of different infrastructure types e.g. cold storage, sorting, grading and assaying units, silos, etc. within the designated market area of the APMC.

  • CFCC (erstwhile National Crop Forcast Centre) was created at the end of the year 1998.
  • Mahalanobis National Crop Forecast Centre was established in New Delhi to provide in-season crop forecasts and assessment of drought situation using state of the art techniques and methodologies developed by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
  • Mahalanobis National Crop Forecast Centre was inaugurated on 23rd April, 2012
  • P. C. Mahalanobis was great Indian Statistician.
  • Government of India plans to migrate towards technology based yield estimation from the conventional Crop Cutting Experiment (CCE) based yield estimation approach. Towards this, few pilot studies have been initiated by taking various Government and Private Agencies On-board. During Kharif 2019, pilot studies were conducted through 12 agencies in 64 districts of 15 States for 9 crops envisaging innovative technologies such as High Resolution Satellite data (Optical and microwave), Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), Advanced multi-parameter crop models, Mobile Applications for Field Data Collection, Artificial intelligence/ Machine learning approach, Sensor Networks, Internet of Things, Field based digital photographs, Hand held instruments and Scientifically designed Sampling Plans.
